As a visual interpreter for thoughts feelings and ideas I create. Welcome to my site, feel free to browse my portfolio or contact me directly. Cheers!
Over the years, I have helped to develop event themes, and the brand around them. I am no stranger to the imagery that is threaded into an environment and is essential to the customer experience.
I create presentations, stage set signage, store branding, store swag, images for animation, recognition signage, venue event and branding both: large and small.
Along with overseeing creative, I am often found rolling up my sleeves and being a useful part of event set up and take down. I have a soft spot in my heart for AV staff and production teams.
If it is site visits, event planning, rehearsals or calling a show: I love making events memorable.
Behold the power of packaging! There is something magical delicious about that first touch. All aspects of packaging are extremely important to me, from the feel of the substrate to the density and color.
Me: “Is it easy to use? Is it easy to open? Is it obvious which way is the top? How can we make it more enviro friendly? is the product secure?”
Send me a dieline and let’s see if we can simplify to save cost.
Regardless if it is a brand, bottle or outer-packaging, I am there in the front row doing a press check and triple checking the UPC barcode. I love production and I LIVE FOR IT! Frankly, I blame Mr. Rogers.
I GET PRINT.
Any size, paper choice, foil, binding, coating and print method. You dream it, I can help you make it.
I have designed: magazines, catalogs, reports, reviews, brochures, postcards, business cards, and POP-UP cards.
I have been designing a very long time. Back in 1998, at the age of 15, I designed my first logo for the Utah Guppy Association. (Yes there is one!) I was paid $50 and a tank full of the FANCIEST guppies. It was the first in a long line of logos designed for small business, bands, large corporations, events and so on.
I have learned a lot since my Guppy logo days and I know there is much more to branding then just creating a logo. In fact, let’s get your brand together so we can make a logo that is perfect for your company, (And speaks to your audience.)
I have a simple discovery process for helping capture and solidifying a brand. Crating your brand doesn’t have to be intimidating, let’s go on this journey together.
Now that e-commerce is king and social media is the kingdom, it is important to have killer online presence. I am no stranger to creating wire frames and mock-up for websites. I have worked with developers, UI and UX teams on website projects and I am a fan of intuitive flow and CX.
Social media is another platform I love to design for and help keep cohesive for companies.
I grew up in a creative home. I have been obsessed with art ever since I can remember. In 5th grade I was the Mona Lisa for Halloween. At age 12 all I cared about was skateboarding and making it to Oil painting lessons.
I love the masters, I love making it, I love collaborating. Art is a part of me. I strive to visit galleries as often as I can. Seeing others’ work inspires me.
If it is a weekend, you can probably find me painting in my basement.
Illustration is a fancy way of saying, “Can you draw this?”
Am I right?
The answer will be, yes I can. I have done loads of commissioned art as well as an independently published children’s book. I have my own style, as do most artists, though, I am familiar with many mediums of fine art. Let’s bring your idea to life!
I keep a sketchbook with me at all times to capture my thoughts and the images around me. Often in business meetings I am taking notes and doodling to explore the task at hand. It helps me process and connect the dots between ideas and outcomes.
Here, I am sharing the unseen library of doodles I have created over the years. For more Mimi scribbles, search #mimithatonegirl online.

For my 30th birthday I threw a fundraising dinner art show-event to kick of my 30th decade with a bang. It was SO FUN!
My community reached out and donated time, talents, the venue and money to my cause. It was a success. I was able to cut a check to my favorite non-profit Spy Hop in downtown SLC.
It was satisfying to give back to a place that sponsored my own involvement with the Sundance Institute as a child.
I am also involved the local artist community and have participate in the annual Art Access 300 plate fundraising show.
Reach out to me if you have fundraising opportunities!
